2003 - Pastor, Salem Friends Meeting, Liberty, IN
As a bi-vocational pastor at Salem Friends Meeting, I mainly conduct the semi-programmed worship on Sunday morning and offer a prepared message.
1996 - 2000 Pastor, Smith Neck Friends Meeting, So. Dartmouth, MA
Smith Neck Friends Meeting (aka Dartmouth Monthly Meeting) is a historic meeting dating back to at least 1690. As a bi-vocational pastor, I also worked full-time during the first three years. Most of my time was spent in preparation for Sunday worship (worship program with bulletin, children’s message). Several hours a week were devoted to visitation. Periodically we offered a worship service at a local nursing home. Each month I put together a church newsletter for mailing. In addition to ministry in the Meeting, I also participated in the local ministry council.

Instructional web site on the formation of the text of the New Testament. Focuses on the Greek manuscripts and the process of studying the manuscripts and their scribal transmission, the principles of textual criticism, and the modern critical text on which translations are based. During 1999-2000 I received an appointment as a Visiting Scholar at the Scholarly Technology Group, Brown University, to work further on developing the web site. |

Learning Modules related to Early Christianity |
In 2000 I worked freelance for the Digital Learning Group, Arlington, MA, as a Content Expert writing glossary and profile items for an online textbook in Religion. I also contributed content for interactive modules on such topics as the comparing the Gospels and the Jerusalem Temple in Jesus' Day. |

This is a hypertext system based on the pre-publication documents of Stanley K. Stowers (used with permission). Only students within courses I teach at ESR are allowed access. |
The web site for Earlham School of Religion has gone through several generations. The second version was an adaptation of the ESR catalog and was developed by a local web design company. The third version was my attempt to apply current standards for XHTML encoding and web usability and accessibility. I made use of such resources as Elizabeth Castro, HTML for the World Wide Web; Jeffrey Zeldman, Designing with Web Standards; Eric A. Meyer, Cascading Style Sheets: The Definitive Guide; Joe Clark, Building Accessible Websites; Jakob Nielsen, Designing Web Usability; Larry Ullman, PHP for the World Wide Web. |
